Pura Vida - was founded in 2012 with the desire to make healthy foods more accessible in the community. Today, the all-day cafe' operates a portfolio of 14 total locations sprinkled throughout South Florida’s most popular neighborhoods. Pura Vida’s delicious menu coupled with the brand’s Instagramable interiors has fostered a cult-like following, making it one of South Florida’s most iconic eateries. L’ATELIER DE JOËL ROBUCHON  - Ideated by late Chef Joël Robuchon, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is Florida’s only 2-star Michelin restaurant. Since touching down in Miami in 2019, the restaurant has consistently wowed diners with its modern French cuisine. The format of the menu at L’Atelier allows guests the flexibility to create their own experience. A meal can be composed of an à la carte selection of small plates, appetizers, and entrées, or the 4-course Summer Menu “Aux Saveurs L'été”, a 4-course seasonal tasting with choices for each dish.Location: Miami Design District

MARKER 88  - While Marker 88 is not located in Miami, it’s only a short drive away and perfect for a quick same-day getaway. The historic Florida Keys eatery recently reopened after a multi-year renovation and expansion. Located in the heart of Islamorada, Marker 88’s menu features flavors from Florida and the Caribbean, with French Polynesian flair. Marker 88 is equipped with two tiki bars and highly celebrated for offering the best sunset views. Location: Islamorada

FEATURE ART
MUSEUM GARAGE - Acting as a functional parking garage, under the guise of an interactive museum, this spot is an absolute must-see. In 2015, MDD founder and developer, Craig Robins, commissioned architect and curator Terence Riley to develop the concept for Museum Garage. Riley brought designers together from around the world to create a surrealist environment inspired by the parlor game, Exquisite Corpse. Each participating architect was eventually assigned an area and depth to build out and given free reign to create fully individual designs, all of which magically come together in the playful experience that is Museum Garage.

THE INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART, MIAMI  -  Free and open to the public, ICA Miami is dedicated to promoting continuous experimentation in contemporary art, and to the exchange of art and ideas throughout the Miami region and beyond. Through an energetic calendar of exhibitions, programs, and collections, ICA Miami provides an important international platform for the work of local, emerging, and under-recognized artists. Family Day is a free monthly event welcoming children of all abilities to engage in artmaking, interactive storytelling, and other special activities at ICA Miami.

DE LA CRUZ COLLECTION  - Founded by collectors Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz, the museum serves as an extension of the couple's home where, for over 30 years, they publicly shared their passion for art, collecting, and education. The collection provides annual exhibitions with a focus on contemporary art, and is completely free and open to the public. Location: Miami Design District

 

 

WHERE TO RELAX - SOUTHBEACH
