Yvette appears alongside some of the greatest performers of all time, in the all-star cast for the remake Grease Live. Such stars as: Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessie J, Carly Rae Jepson, Mario Lopez and more, including special guest star appearances by Boyz II Men and Joe Jonas. We took time to interview her on her role as Cha-Cha in the remake of one of the iconic hit movies and this is what she has to s

Scene: Tell us about your experience performing in Grease Live? answer:  It was an incredible experience from Day Even at the table read, it was pretty clear that we all knew we were about to be a part of something very special. The entire cast and creative team was amazing. We had Julianne Hough, who really was the perfect Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny, Vanessa Hudgens, Carlos Pena Vega, Keke Palmer, Carly Rae Jepsen, Jessie J, Boyz II Men, and it's a pretty big cast, but everyone was so talented. We even had two of the original cast members, Didi Conn and Barry Pearl (who were the original Frenchie & Doody). Tommy Kail, who currently has "Hamilton" on Broadway and who I worked with before on "In the Heights," was our fearless leader and it really doesn't get much better than him. It was such an honor to play Cha Cha and to have had the opportunity to be a part of such a spectacular event. I assure you the 7-year-old me was freaking out!

Scene: What was it like to play the role of: Cha-Cha? answer: It was fun! I've never played the bad girl before. I realized pretty early on that confidence was key with playing Cha Cha and I am actually really grateful for this experience, because in my search for Cha Cha, I was able to find myself more and tap into what confidence means to me.

Scene: Do you see yourself performing in more television shows, films, or theater? answer: I've been very fortunate to be able to work in all these mediums and hope to continue working in all of them. Scene: What do you prefer more for performing, film or live theater and why? answer: You get such a different experience from each one. Truthfully, they are both so fun and I really enjoy them both. Being on stage always feels like home and there is truly nothing like performing live. But you exercise different muscles when you work in film and TV, and I love getting to use them and being well rounded as a performer.

Scene: How was it working with your co stars in Grease Live? answer: I am so happy to report that they are some of the nicest people I have ever worked with. We had a blast. Everyone is insanely talented, and it was such an honor to be in such good company. Tommy Kail, our director, and fearless leader, has an incredible knack for bringing really talented, humble people together who are just beautiful human beings.
